flounders are the ugliest, weirdest fish but also a huge mood

anyway clearly my fish education has been inexcusably subpar because i always imagined flounders to look like flounder from the little mermaid but turns out flounder isn’t actually a flounder he is some kinda tropical fish and real flounders are fish goblins with eyes on the same side of their head sent to haunt us all

Oh my god you guys do you have any idea how fucking huge flatfish can get?

(That’s a pacific halibut, which is admittedly the largest species of flounder in the world. They get 9 ft long.)
