Things y’all should know: reports are coming in that there is basically a gag order on the EPA.

It looks like they are under a media blackout, including a ban on social media, press releases, adding new content to websites/blogs and more. It appears EPA grants and contracts have been frozen as well.

The same thing is happening the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Health and Human Services, among other federal departments. Trump’s administration is also issuing a communications freeze that bans these departments from communicating with congress at all.

“This year’s Affordable Care Act enrollment continues until Jan. 31 and runs largely through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, which falls under HHS. If constituents have questions about coverage options, the aide noted, the communications freeze may make it impossible to address those issues.” XX

They are purposefully blocking scientists and medical professionals from getting information to the public or communicating with lawmakers. Federal Employees are being ordered not to tell the public about the gag orders.
