A man doesn’t need to utter the words “i don’t respect women” or “i ain’t shit” for you to know it. people give off so many vocal and visual signals. like a dude who thinks cheating is funny pbbly wouldn’t feel guilty about cheating on you someday, a dude who jokingly calls himself an asshole pbbly really is, a dude who rolls his eyes at discussions of rape culture could blame you for getting sexually harrassed someday, a dude who constantly disrespects other women will end up disrespecting you someday etc. these are all warning signs. maybe not serious enough for some ppl, but they are to me. doesn’t matter if someone’s “just joking” (🌚), these are serious and the way someone talks and reacts to them is an indirect reflection of how they feel about it.
